General Motors announced Thursday that it expects to pay between 400-to-600 million dollars to compensate victims of a faulty ignition switch tied to at least 13 deaths. The automaker listed the figure in its quarterly results.
Automaker Chrysler has recalled more than 700-thousand Jeeps for an ignition switch problem. The recall affects Jeep Commanders from model years 2006 to 2007 and Jeep Grand Cherokees from 2005 to 2007.
