Each year, volunteers from the Sierra Providence Auxiliary Program raise money to offer students scholarships.

Thirteen graduate, undergraduate, and high school students received an award Wednesday.

The president of the Sierra Providence Volunteers Program says applications are available every January at their information desk.

Students must be pursuing a degree in the medical or health field.
