EL PASO — If you haven't paid that red-light camera ticket, you will soon find it difficult to register your car.
The City of El Paso and the El Paso Police department are teaming up with the County Tax Assessor Collector's office to collect some of the $3 million owed in 39 thousand unpaid camera tickets.
Registration holds will be placed until those tickets are paid. Half of the money will go towards the state's trauma center, and the other half goes to a local traffic safety related fund.
