CNN — Airline passengers can now use mobile devices on flights.
The Federal Aviation Administration gave the green light for using gadgets on board to read, work, play games, watch movies or listen to music during takeoffs, landings and taxiing.
However, passengers are still not allowed to talk on the cell phone.
How fast the changes are implemented will vary since airlines must show the FAA how their planes meet the new guidelines and they also must update their flight crew training manuals and rules for stowing portable devices.
