Bond reduction denied for teen accused in officer's death

EL PASO — Juan Antonio Gonzalez, who was jailed in the death of Officer Jonathan Molina, was denied a request to reduce his bond, according to officials at the 346th District Court.

Juan Antonio Gonzalez has been jailed on capital murder charges since the Sept. 25 beating of Molina, that resulted in his death. Gonzalez will be in a district court in 2014. If convicted, the teenage defendant could face life in prison.

According to jail records, Gonzalez' bond remains at $2 million.
