El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Emotions filled Boston Wednesday night as thousands of fans packed the TD Garden Stadium to watch the NHL's Bruins take on Buffalo.
This was the first sporting event to be held in Boston since Monday's tragic events at the Boston Marathon.
Before the game, fans were invited to participate in a sing along with soloist Rene Rancourt.
During the National Anthem, the crowd immediately joined in.
Fans came together and showed support for the city and the victims of the bombings which killed 3 and injured more than 100 near the finish line.
The Bruins lost to the Sabres, but both teams hoisted their sticks before a sellout crowd after a slideshow of marathon scenes.
