Carry on liquids banned on flights to Russia

Thursday, February 6, 2014 - 10:51pm

The TSA has temporarily banned carry-on liquids on flights between the United States and Russia.

The ban also includes gels, aerosols and powders.

This is a response to information reported Wednesday that terrorists might conceal explosive material on toothpaste and cosmetic tubes.

However, these items will be allowed in checked bags.

Passengers will also be allowed to board with prescription medications.
