On the heels of more and more same-sex couples tying the knot in Doña Ana County, Las Cruces Bishop, Oscar Cantu, wants to set the record straight about recent marriages that have taken place at a Catholic Church.

Cantu says the Holy Family Church is not part of the Roman Catholic Diocese, therefore he has no authority over the church's practices.

The Roman Catholic Church has said for years that they will stand behind their beliefs that marriage should only be between a man and woman.
