A manager for the Coronado High School basketball team is quickly becoming a national celebrity.

Mitchell Marcus was interviewed by CBS Steve Hartman, for a story that will air on the CBS Evening News on Friday and again Sunday morning.

If you missed our original story watch it here. Mitchell is a special needs student at Coronado who is team manager.  He was put in the game in the final seconds of the team's last game against Franklin High School.

In an amazing show of sportsmanship, Franklin High School player, Jon Montanez, gave him the ball and Marcus scored a shot.

"This is the kind of thing as a feature reporter that I live and breathe for. This story it's everything. You look at the moment out on the court and it's kind of the way america should be. Everything is going right there that's what I dream america to be like and so I wanted to be able to tell the story to a national audience." said CBS Evening News, Steve Hartman.

You can catch that story right here KDBC on Friday and then again Sunday morning.
