EAST EL PASO — It's an area that the City of El Paso promised would be a park, but a couple of years have passed and the Cheryl Ladd neighborhood park project has not been completed or even started.
Residents had shown anger about this in the past, but tonight when given the opportunity to voice their opinions and give input for the park, only one community member showed up.
"With the passage of the 2012 bond issue we now have the construction money to build the park," said City of El Paso Engineering Department Manager, Javier Reyes.
Featured improvements to the old illegal dumping site at 11510 Cheryl Ladd Court are a playground, sports courts and lighting.
