El Paso, TX (KDBC) — El Paso Chihuahuas general manager Brad Taylor announced that the team has signed a multi-year agreement with Townsquare Media to broadcast all Chihuahuas’ regular and post-season playoff games on ESPN 600 AM. The partnership begins with the 2014 campaign and extends through 2016.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Townsquare Media and 600 AM ESPN family,” said Alan Ledford, MountainStar Sports Group President. “Chihuahuas fans will now have the ability to listen live to all 144 home and away games, and to get insights about their team on El Paso’s favorite sports talk radio station.”
“As the market leader for total sports coverage – 600 ESPN is proud to add the El Paso Chihuahuas to our line up,” Brad Dubow, 600 ESPN Vice President and General Manager said. “We’re honored to have been chosen to be a part of this new era for El Paso professional sports.”
The Chihuahuas’ play-by-play announcer Tim Hagerty returns for his 11th season in Minor League Baseball and will call the games on the flagship station. All game broadcasts will be streamed on epchihuahuas.com, krod.com and a mobile app.
Townsquare Media El Paso consists of 600 AM KROD (600 ESPN), 95.5 FM KLAQ, 93.1 FM KSII, and KLAQ HD2, 95.5-1 on the expanded dial. The stations are locally programmed from the offices and studios located at 4180 North Mesa, and can be reached at 915-544-9550.
