El Paso TX (KDBC) — Sunday may have concluded the 40th annual Christmas fair, but it also kicked off the beginning of the holiday season in El Paso.
The Junior League of El Paso and UTEP collaborated this year to celebrate the Junior League's 80th anniversary. During the two-day event, dozens of merchants sold everything from Christmas decorations, to home goods, to sweets.
"The Christmas fair really kicks off the holiday season for El Paso. I think a lot of people look forward to it right after Halloween to come and spread some cheer and start shopping for their Christmas presents," said Isabelle White, with the Junior League of El Paso.
All the proceeds go to various organizations including, but not limited to CASA, the Botanical Gardens or the Family Resource Center at the Children's Hospital.
