The UPRR Bataan Memorial Trainway in downtown El Paso could soon get a new pedestrian crossing.

City council will meet Tuesday to discuss approving a project with the Texas Department of Transportation to build two crossings over the trainway.

The project is expected to cost nearly $3 million dollars.

Also, far east El Paso may soon have its own regional park.

Council members will also discuss authorizing a nearly $2 million dollar budget to build what will be called the 'Eastside Regional Park.'
