LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Las Cruces City Council will consider a resolution in support of a proposed minimum wage increase for New Mexico Monday afternoon in a special meeting.
After two work sessions and listening to business owners and minimum wage workers, council is expected to take a vote on the item.
Las Cruces is the largest city in New Mexico that would be affected by the proposed dollar increase with Santa Fe and Albuquerque having higher wages.
Council will have a regularly scheduled meeting at 1pm followed by the special meeting immediately after.
