Baseball season is underway, but as you head out to the ol' ball game this year, you may notice an uptick in prices.

According to Team Marketing Report's annual "Fan Cost Index," average ticket prices rose by about 2% to about 28 dollars. That doesn't include one of the most important expenses:

A beer costs just over $6 on average, while hot dogs are about $4.30.

Red Sox fans pay the most, with average ticket prices above $50. Fenway also charges the most expensive, per-ounce beer price, a 12-ounce draft will run about $7.75.
