New York, NY — Construction crews plan to raise the final sections of the "One World Trade Center" spire this morning (Thursday).
They will raise them to a temporary work platform on top of the building, in preparation for installation. Iron workers will install them at a later date.
Once installed, the 408-foot spire will make it the tallest building in the western hemisphere, with the iconic height of 17-hundred-and-76 feet.
Thursday's work was originally set for Monday, but was postponed because of bad weather.
