U.S. Customs agents seized more than 73 pounds of marijuana hidden in children's furniture on a passenger bus.

The bust was made after 2:00 a.m. at the Presidio Port of Entry, when a passenger bus was arriving from Mexico.

Officers inspected the bus and found boxes of furniture in the cargo area.

Once officers found the boxes to be unusually heavy, they drilled into the furniture and that's when they say they discovered the marijuana.

"You name it and we have seen it. To the untrained eye, this was just another man crossing the port of entry; however to the well trained CBP officer, it was a smuggling attempt," said Patricia Aveitia, acting CBP Presidio Port Director.

A total of 72 bundles were removed.

Officers arrested the driver and bus owner, 47-year-old Alejandro Faber of McKinney, Texas, on federal drug charges.
