EL PASO — A Sunland Park teenager was hit by a car last month while allegedly trying to run away police, and now the driver who hit him is facing charges. Authorities say 30 year-old Mary Alice Estrada ran into 19 year-old Javier Gonzalez while he was running across Lee Trevino and then took off. The Sunland Park teen suffered serious injuries and remains in critical condition three weeks after the accident. It's unclear why police were chasing him. Estrada has just now turned herself into police. She's charged with causing an accident involving serious injury and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
