Academic Grant to Help Develop Levels of Confidence, Creativity, Expression

Boys & Girls Club of El Paso Awarded Target Grant

EL PASO — The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso announced that its fine arts instructional program was awarded a grant from Target Corporation.

In recognition of the efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso in providing youth development programming in the areas of Academic Achievement, Character and Leadership Development and Healthy Lifestyles, the grant will fund efforts to provide fine arts instruction as part of the Summer Camps programming during June – August 2012. The program will be held at Club Travis Petty located at 801 S. Florence St.

“This program develops confidence, creativity, and self expression skills in our youth as they explore various mediums of the fine arts. We are grateful to Target for their support of this program and our community in general,” stated Arturo Jaime, Chief Professional Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso.
