2 killed, 2 seriously injured in I-10 rollover crash

Iraan, TX (KDBC) — Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation have confirmed that an El Paso family of four was involved in a serious rollover crash in Pecos County at approximately 4 pm Sunday evening, killing two of them and seriously injuring the other two.
A 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Erica Ann Castro, 36, was driving west on I-10 near mile marker 298, near Iraan, TX when the left rear tire on the Explorer blew out, causing the Explorer to skid sideways and roll into a ditch, finally coming to rest on its roof.

Castro and the front passenger, Julian Billy Granados, 40, were both declared dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The two passengers, Julian Granados, 15 and Vanessa Renee Granados, 20, were both transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with critical injuries.
DPS Troopers reported that Castro, Julian Billy Granados and Julian Granados were all wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is unknown if Vanessa Granados was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Granados family tells us that the four were traveling back from San Marcos,TX where Vanessa Granados, a 2012 Americas HS graduate, had just finished her school year at Southwest Texas State University.
A family member reached out to Local 4 News, stating that the family is needing help with funeral expenses for the couple. We will update with more information for anyone wishing to donate to the family as soon we we receive it.
