EL PASO — The Super Bowl was a time for family and friends to get together and watch the Ravens take on the 49ers Sunday evening.
In a town filled with Cowboys fans, several El Pasoans found themselves cheering for the Ravens.
"I don't want the 49ers to win and get another ring cause it's all about the Cowboys," said Debbie Ortega.
A Super Bowl victory for the California team would have given the 49ers a 6th Super Bowl win, one more than the Cowboys.
Fans at the Brew Sports Pub and Grill proudly wore their red 49ers gear.
Let's go Niners let's go," chanted young Genesis Covarrubias.
Even with trash talking between fans in El Paso, most agreed the game was a good way to bring them together.
"It's about spending time with family and creating memories," Ortega said. "That's the best part about it."
