Michelle Obama brought a couple of big names to Washington to help promote the latest efforts of her Children's Health Initiative.
The First Lady welcomed Sesame Street's Elmo and Rosita to the White House. Mrs. Obama talked about the need for better marketing that promotes healthy food products to kids. Afterward, Mrs. Obama, Elmo and Rosita invited elementary students to help with the annual harvest in the White House Garden.
Many of the children attend schools who are starting to offer healthy snack options. Starting next year, all schools will be required to follow nutrition standards for health snacks in school vending machines and a la carte lines.
