Emergency crews respond to overnight jet fuel spill

El Paso firefighters cleaned up a jet fuel spill Monday morning at Atlantic Aviation, located at 1751 Shuttle Columbia Drive.

EPFD firefighters from the El Paso International Airport along with a hazmat unit and structural response units responded to Atlantic Aviation at 12:41 a.m. Monday morning. The fuel leak was reportedly caused by a ruptured seal on one of Atlantic Aviation's fuel trucks.

Approximately 182 gallons of jet fuel spilled onto the aircraft parking ramp at Atlantic Aviation. The leak was contained by 1:35 a.m. and clean-up was completed by EPFD crews by 4 a.m. There were no injuries and no aircraft was involved.
