EL PASO — There's one ice cream truck you don't want on the streets serving your children this summer because deputies allegedly found more than ice cream inside.
El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies pulled over a purple ice cream truck near Ysleta High School Saturday afternoon. Deputies said it had a cracked windshield and an expired registration sticker.
They said 19-year-old Elijah Sanchez tried to run from deputies but was quickly caught. Deputies said he was carrying two Tupperware bowls containing what's believed to be marijuana.
Anthony Arellano, 29, was also in the truck where deputies allegedly found more pot.
Sanchez and Arellano were both arrested.
