FBI: White powder in envelope tests negative for chemical, biological agents

EL PASO, TX (KDBC) — A suspicious envelope containing white powder prompted an evacuation of the Mills Building, however FBI officials announced preliminary tests showed no sign of chemical or biological agents.

The individual that discovered and opened the envelope was transported to the hospital as a precaution, however was later released. There were several other individuals in the vicinity, yet none of them showed any symptoms and didn’t require medical treatment.

The investigation was ongoing.
