LAS CRUCES, N.M. — New Mexico State University ticket office records show Saturday's game against San Diego State University had the poorest student attendance of the season, even with the university providing students with incentives.
Last week NMSU announced they would offer different prizes to students including a black parking permit allowing students to park anywhere on campus and cash prizes of $250 and $2,000.
The office reports only 1,371 students attended the game against SDSU and 2,670 attended the week before against UTEP.
The home opener against Minnesota had 2,360 students attend the game.
The incentives program will continue for the rest of the season for students staying through the 4th quarter of home games.
