Gray Thursday? List of store hours for Thanksgiving Day

Wednesday, November 27, 2013 - 4:45pm

Thanksgiving is quickly becoming the new Black Friday in the United States, as more and more national retail chains are deciding to open their doors early, on Thanksgiving Day instead of the traditional Friday after Thanksgiving opening.

Many retailers have cited the particularly short shopping period this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas for opening early, since Thanksgiving does not arrive until November 28th.

Local 4 News has compiled a list of the largest U.S. retail chains who have announced they will open early in 2013, on Thanksgiving Day, for those who are seeking a jump start to their holiday shopping.

Walmart is open 24hrs on Thanksgiving Day, however, their doorbuster deals begin at 6 p.m. Walgreens is also open 24hrs on Thanksgiving Day.
