The US House of Representatives passed a revised version of the farm bill Thursday that doesn't include an extension of food stamps.

The final vote was 216 to 208 with no democrat voting in favor of the bill.

The Democratic-led senate previously passed its own version of the measure that included renewed food stamp assistance for low-income Americans.

Conservatives say the measure costs too much.

Food Stamp and nutrition programs costs roughly $78 billion dollars annually.

The white house has issued a veto threat over the bill that passed the house.
