Las Cruces Police Searching For Man Who Threatened 15-Year-Old With Knife

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who allegedly threatened a 15-year-old boy with a knife.

The incident happened near Frenger Park between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  The boy told Las Cruces Police that the man pulled out a knife and demanded the boy's bag.  The suspect then ran away with the bag.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 30's or early 40's, approximately 5'6" in height and weighs about 150 pounds.  He also has a goatee and was last seen wearing dark-colored sweatpants with a dark hoodie and a gray Oakland Raiders cap.
