Las Cruces Police have arrested a man they say tried to run over three employees of the Jack Key automobile dealership on Friday, November 18.

Matthew Cardon, 31, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police allege he reversed at a high rate of speed in his 2008 Pontiac G6, nearly striking three employees. The altercation began after Cardon allegedly tried to provoke a fight with one of the employees of the dealership.

Cardon then drove away, but was located by Las Cruces Police as he walked back toward the Jack Key dealership. Cardon is being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center with a cash-only bond set at $8,000.
