A new bill being proposed by a Texas state senator would make it illegal for your boss, or future boss, to require you to give up your social media user names and passwords.

The bill proposed by Juan Hinojosa, of McAllen, states that's as long as you don't use your personal electronic communication device during work hours.

Companies can also require you to follow their guidelines if you're using your company's cell phone or computer to check your Facebook, Twitter, or other social site.
