Local bookstore set on fire overnight

A man is in hot water after authorities said he started a fire at a popular bookstore in West El Paso.

The blaze was sparked Tuesday just after 10 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble off Sunland Park.

We're told when El Paso Firefighters arrived at the store, they detained a man who they believe started the fire at the back of the bookstore.

No injuries were reported.

Damages are estimated a $7,500.

Investigators are trying to determine the motive of the alleged arsonist.
