Low attendance at Mayors open door meeting

City Of El Paso

Mayor Cook has a new office downtown, but very few people showed up for his open door meeting, on Wednesday.

According to Mayor Cook, the major problem was parking.

Usually about a dozen people attend his monthly meetings to discuss concerns, ideas or just to say hello but only 3 people turned out to talk with him.

"Each one of those people told me they had a problem finding parking when they got here had to walk 2-3 blocks from where they did find parking" said Mayor John Cook.
