Man arrested after robbery at McDonalds drive thru

El Paso Police have arrested one man after an early morning aggravated robbery at a Central El Paso McDonalds. Police say the suspect, described a 28-year-old Hispanic male, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses entered the drive-thru at the McDonalds located at 5620 Montana. The suspect placed an order at 4:58 a.m., and was driving a beige Ford pickup. When a McDonald’s employee returned to give the suspect his order, he displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen eastbound on Montana. Moments later patrol officers stopped the beige Ford pickup on I-10 East at Mile Post 25 (near Airway exit). The suspect was taken into custody and Crimes Against Persons (CAP) investigators were called to assist with the investigation. The suspect is in custody and charges are pending. The suspects name, bond amount, and formal charge(s) will be released upon the issuance of a warrant. This investigation continues.
