El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The Office of State Representative Mary E. González is continuing efforts to coordinate the Montana Vista Wastewater Project.
In an effort to inform residents, a community meeting will be taking place on April 16, 2014 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Montana Vista Elementary School at 3550 Mark Jason Drive.
The state health inspector will be present to answer any questions from residents.
The Montana Vista Wastewater Project began in 2012 when an Economically Distressed Areas Program survey was conducted in order to determine if a public health nuisance existed in the area.
This project proposed to provide first-time wastewater services for the unincorporated communities of Montana Vista.
The boundary map for the Montana Vista Wastewater Project is included as an attachment. Roughly, the boundaries of the project include Vista del Este, Montana Avenue, Century and Greg.
The first attempt at the Montana Vista Wastewater Project was initially unsuccessful because the health department could not access a enough homes for evaluation.
Residents should be advised that the health inspector will be evaluating homes on April 24th from 12:00pm until 3:30pm, April 25th from 6:30am until 3:30pm and April 26th from 6:30 AM until 6:30pm.
In order for your home to be inspected, you must have filled out a consent form or the Health Department will not be able evaluate your property.
