From March 9 through March 22 the El Paso Police Department was targeting outstanding traffic warrants. As a result of the operation, officers said they arrested 752 people. Of those 311 were able to pay the warrants and avoid being taken to jail. However, officers did book the remaining 432 people into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Department officials said they will continue to hold these operations throughout the year. Officers said this is a reminder to avoid jail and pay all warrants now.
