El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Nearly 50 people have tested positive for HIV in El Paso in 2013, which is why city health leaders want locals to get tested this Thursday as part of National HIV Testing Day.
The Dept. of Public Health is teaming up with La Fe clinic at two locations Thursday to offer either free or low-cost HIV testing:
EPCC Valle Verde Campus
9050 Viscount Blvd
11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
DPH Disease Prevention
5115 El Paso Drive
8:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 pm.
“What you don’t know can hurt you, your friends, family and community, ” said Irene Ovalle, Public Health Supervisor. "Start making a difference and get tested."
