(CNN) -- Organizing for Action, the nonprofit advocacy group that originated from President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, released its first television ad Monday promoting the president's sweeping health care reform that became law three years ago.
The ad unveiled Monday is part of a seven-figure buy for a summer series of ads highlighting Obamacare benefits that have already kicked in, an OFA official confirmed.
The slew of ads come a few months before individuals and small businesses can start purchasing insurance through state-run exchanges in October, and as 2014 congressional campaigns begin taking shape. Health care is expected to be a major point of contention in next year's elections, especially as more benefits begin to roll out.
"What's the impact of Obamacare? The truth is, Americans are already seeing the benefits," the ad's narrator says, giving examples of Americans who have experienced changes. The ad directs viewers to a website on the health care reform.
OFA also announced it plans to launch a similar effort on education in the coming weeks, with the help of more than 800 fellows.
While in California earlier this month, the president touted Obamacare benefits in an effort to hit back against critics that argue the law will increases costs and decrease choices.
Obama rattled off statistics showing more insurers have applied to enter the California insurance marketplace when it opens in October, and that estimated premiums have been lower than expected.
OFA isn't the first to launch a health care ad this month. The battle hit the New Hampshire airwaves two weeks ago when a conservative group launched a commercial criticizing Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, who's up for re-election next year, for supporting the law.
The group, Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire, spent $110,000 on the 30-second ad.
