El Paso, TX (KDBC) — For 17 years, families have lined the streets of West El Paso for the Fourth of July Parade. It's hosted by the Rotary Club of West El Paso. It's a 2.5 mile parade that starts at Western Hills Church on Thunderbird and travels down Shadow Mountain, up Mesa and ends at Coronado High School.
"I think this year was one of our more sucessful efforts," said organizer and rotary club member Rick LoBello.
This year 50 floats, bands and groups entered a competition to win a thousand dollars for the best entry.
