We're learning more about an Eastern New Mexico peanut butter plant involved in a salmonella outbreak. It turns out Sunland Incorporated filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, shortly before the FDA suspended the plant's license.

The FDA found bacterial contamination at the Portales, New Mexico plant back in 2012. The outbreak sickened more than 40 people in 20 states and it never reopened.
