Billie Joe Armstrong, the frontman for Green Day, is speaking out about his recovery from substance abuse.
Armstrong made headlines last fall when he launched into a profanity-filled rant at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas.
The singer has only faint memories of what happened.
Armstrong went into rehab the next day.
In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Armstrong talks about his struggles with alcohol and prescription drugs.
Armstrong told the magazine he didn't know "where I was going to end up at the end of the night."
According to Green Day's official website, the band will be touring through El Paso on March 13, performing at Tricky Falls.
