Rollover crash requires 'jaws of life'

EL PASO — A rollover crash in northeast El Paso this afternoon sent one woman to the hospital after being extracated from her vehicle.

Firefighters spoke to her as she remained trapped in her white pickup truck at the intersection of Lackland and Mcconnell. Meanwhile, police ticketed the young man driving the other car for running a stop sign.

Theyre not citing any other factors. One person witness the accident unfold.

"Some other people were trying to help me, they removed the back window,we were just trying to be with the lady, talking to her, trying to make sure she would stay conscious and we were just trying to help her out," the witness said.

The victim remained conscious but in pain as emergency crews loaded her into a waiting ambulance.The driver of the car accused of running the stop sign appeared shaken but not seriously hurt.
