Same-sex marriage is now legal in the state of New Jersey.

Same-sex couples began exchanging vows shortly after midnight Monday in communities and cities across the state, including Newark, where Mayor Cory Booker married the first of several couples early Monday morning.

New Jersey is now the 14th U.S. state to allow same-sex marriages.
