(CNN) — The National Traffic Safety Administration is taking steps to make large buses safer.
Lap and shoulder seat belts will be required for passengers and the driver on all new large buses and motor coaches.
Agency officials say the move will reduce the risk of fatalities and serious injuries.
It will also lower the risk of people being ejected in rollover crashes.
