EPPD continues to investigate central El Paso shooting

El Paso Police are investigating a shooting in Central El Paso that sent a 20-year-old man to the hospital late Thursday evening..

According to EPPD, a 'shots fired' call came into 911 around 8:15 p.m. Thursday night in the 3600 block of Lincoln in Central El Paso.

Officers arrived and discovered that the unidentified 20-year-old black man had been shot in the back and  was being treated by El Paso's Fire Medical Services. He was subsequently rushed to University Medical Center for treatment.

The victim was reportedly uncooperative with El Paso Police investigators and EPPD's Gang Unit was called in to assist with the investigation.
