Shoppers On the Hunt for Last-Minute Bargains

Saturday, December 22, 2012 - 8:44pm

Remember Black Friday? Well, forget about it. Super Saturday is expected to be the busiest retail day of 2012, as Christmas shoppers go on the hunt for last-minute bargains.

In fact, the National Retail Federation said nearly three-quarters of American consumers, which is 73 percent, still have shopping to do.

It definitely shows here in El Paso as malls and shopping centers were packed with last-minutes shoppers.
"Well it should be expected,” said Hector Hernandez. “I would say everybody knows the holiday season is like this so no big deal. It’s normality."

Cielo Vista and Sunland Park Malls will stay open Saturday until 10 p.m. They'll re-open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Macy's stores inside the malls will stay open without closing until midnight Sunday.

Toys “R” Us is also staying open without closing until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
