El Paso — Fire investigators announced they needed the public’s assistance in finding the person or persons responsible for a six-car fire that was intentionally set Monday night.
The incident happened at 3604 East Yandell Dr. in an alley behind an automotive shop. Fire officials said the fire was under control within 10 minutes and kept the fire from spreading to any near-by businesses.
A gas meter within close proximity to the fire ruptured from the heat of the fire. Texas Gas was called out to the scene to assist with securing the gas line. No injuries were reported. Four of the six vehicles sustained extensive damage, with an estimate of $50,000 in estimated damages.
