Two men working on Interstate 10 were killed by an alleged drunk driver early Sunday morning.

Authorities have identified the two victims as 39-year-old James Green from Runaway Bay, Texas and 54-year-old Jimmy Joe Broadstreet from Chaparral. Both worked for Crane Service.

The driver has been identified as 18-year-old Jan Neives, a solider stationed at Fort Bliss in the 1st Armored Division.

Broadstreet was taken to the hospital where he died later from his injuries.

Jimmy Ray Wesley is the son of Broadstreet. He said he heard the news about his after he had already passed away.

"The first thing I would have told him is I love you.. then the next thing would have been lets go enjoy your life before you go," Wesley said.

He said it's been several years since he's seen his father. He has been unable to visit due to his job.

Wesley said he knew something was wrong when he checked his phone that day.

"Because of the calls from the different sides of the family I put it together already that my father had passed," he said.

"He was every son's hero.. you know. He certainly loved us. That's for sure."
