Southwest University is investing $250,000 towards the development of student services and quality of life projects at its East El Paso campus.

It's part of the University's student appreciation day and the projects include upgrading the computer labs and creating more green areas for students.

The school also plans to bring more events and concerts for students, including a concert on April 25th that will feature former Timbiriche band member, Diego Schoening and former Mana member Cesar "Vampiro" Lopez.

"They're going to expect all these great songs from the 80's, from the 90's, from Mana, from Timbiriche. We are singing the real rock en español," said Schoening.

Students will be offered discounted ticket prices and VIP access at the concert.  It is open to the public.  For ticket information, contact Southwest University 915-996-9169.
