According to a national poll, it appears one out of ten people could care less about politics! The Pew Research Center's Political Typology Report shows these people aren't registered to vote, they don't give money to candidates and generally don't follow government and public affairs.
That's why Pew is labeling them bystanders. According to Pew, those "bystanders" are under 30-years old and nearly a third are hispanic. A third of 'bystanders' were born outside of the United States.
